G. Stephen Browning (age 49): Mr. Browning, C.P.A., MAcc, is the Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Information Officer of Sentry, in which capacities he is responsible for the financial reporting for all Sentry entities and for defining and implementing the company’s information technology objectives.
Prior to his position at Sentry, Mr. Browning was the senior partner of Browning, Creer and Associates, an independent finance and accounting consulting practice, where he implemented financial and accounting information systems, and provided professional financial management, to start-up companies.
Before forming Browning, Creer and Associates, Mr. Browning was the Chief Financial Officer for Veca Electric, a large electrical contractor in Washington. There, Mr. Browning educated and managed construction managers regarding job cost control and budgeting, and implemented systems that improved the ability of the company to manage its construction projects.
Before Veca, Mr. Browning was the Controller and Chief Information Officer for Sentry, in which capacity he was responsible for preparing financial statements, tax returns, and managing the accounting department; as well as implementing management and accounting systems designed to absorb the rapid growth expected by Sentry.
Mr. Browning started his career with the international accounting and consulting firm of KPMG, where he worked in both the auditing department and the small business consulting arm of the firm.
Mr. Browning earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.
