Andrew C. Bebbington (age 46): Mr. Bebbington, C.A. (which is the UK equivalent of a Certified Public Accountant), was from 2002 to 2006, the Senior Vice President, Private Equity Division, of Sentry, and was responsible for the management of Sentry’s private equity portfolio and for the search, evaluation and acquisition of new investments. In May, 2006, Mr. Bebbington became the Chief Executive Officer of Harris Manufacturing, Inc., a portfolio company of Sentry that designs, manufactures and installs energy-efficient lighting fixtures for commercial applications. After his assignment at Harris is completed, Mr. Bebbington will either take the CEO position in another Sentry company, or will rejoin Sentry as the head of the Private Equity Division.
Before joining Sentry, Mr. Bebbington was the Chief Operating Officer of Sensar Corporation (NASDAQ). Prior to this position, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Larson Davis Inc., a manufacturer of high tech instrumentation serving the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and measurement and control markets.
Before joining Larson Davis, he was instrumental in orchestrating a management buy-in to a UK public company called Life Sciences International PLC (“LSI”). As the director of LSI’s global acquisition and business development program, Mr. Bebbington oversaw a major division of LSI in the US, with sales of over $70 million serving the semiconductor, scientific and industrial process markets.
Mr. Bebbington began his career with the international accounting and consulting firm of KPMG in London, where he carried out numerous international consulting and strategic assignments in Switzerland, the US, and the EU. He was a founding member of KPMG’s Mergers and Acquisitions Unit established in the late eighties.
Mr. Bebbington graduated from the London School of Economics with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
